The Regular Officer Training Plan offers the opportunity to serve as a Nursing Officer in the Canadian Forces. By attending a recognized Canadian university or college in a Bachelor of Science Nursing degree program, you may benefit from a fully subsidized education, a monthly salary, the development of personal and professional skills and the opportunity for a rewarding career in the Canadian Forces upon graduation.
The Registered Nurse Enrolment Plan offers the opportunity to serve as a Nursing Officer in the Canadian Forces. By attending a recognized Canadian university in a post RN program leading to a Bachelor of Nursing or Bachelor of Science Nursing degree, you may benefit from two years of fully subsidized education, a monthly salary, the development of personal and professional skills and the opportunity for a rewarding career in the Canadian Forces upon graduation. Applicants must be a practicing RN in good standing with the province and have a minimum two years of practical experience.
The Direct Entry Officer plan is another opportunity for graduates to join the Canadian Forces as a Nursing Officer. During your final year of your degree or upon graduation you are eligible to apply directly as a Nursing Officer, with commencement of training and employment upon successful completion of the selection process.

A summary of the Regular Officer Training Plan/Regular Nursing Training Plan:
Fully subsidized education which includes tuition, books, fees and instruments;
Starting monthly salary of $1,387 (ROTP) or $3,300 (RNEP) while in university;
20 days paid vacation per year;
Free medical and dental coverage;
Canadian Forces training and development during the summer months;
Guaranteed employment as a Nurse at Lieutenant rank upon graduation;
Development of leadership and management skills; and
Up to five years of obligatory service in the Canadian Forces upon graduation. |
